Elizabeth Alcock Whitehead, Deacon George Alcock, and Annis Alcock Chandler Dane Parmenter were siblings.
Thomas and John Whitehead were the children of John and Elizabeth Alcock Whitehead. They were the nephews of Deacon George Alcock and Annis Alcock Chandler, whose children would be John and Thomas Whitehead's cousins.
John Whitehead married Martha Bradfield and their daughter, Mercy Whitehead married as his second wife, William Luddington of Malden, whose first wife was Martha Rose, daughter of John Rose, and who later became his step-sister, as John Rose married William Luddington's widowed mother, Ellen Nichols Luddington.....
So, by his marriage to widow, Annis Alcock Chandler, John Dane of Roxbury becomes the uncle of the Whitehead boys. Asa Whitehead, a descendant of John Whitehead-the above mentioned son of John and Elizabeth Alcock Whitehead, was a prominent attorney in Morristown, New Jersey. Jacob B. Dains was born in Morristown, NJ in 1781- two years prior to the end of the American Revolution. Jacob B. Dains served as a private in in the 3rd Ohio Militia in Captain James Brown's Company during the War of 1812 for a term of three months from October 20, 1812 through February, 1813
